Chart Reading Recap
Bringing price action, patterns, volume, and indicators together
The Complete Chart Reading System
After ten lessons of chart reading, the goal is to synthesize all the tools into a coherent system. Chart reading is not about any single indicator or pattern — it's about convergence. The strongest trades have multiple factors confirming the same direction at the same time. Your pre-trade chart checklist should answer these questions: What is the primary trend on the daily chart? Is there a recognizable pattern forming (cup and handle, head and shoulders, double bottom)? What is volume doing — is it confirming the move? Where are the key support and resistance levels? Are the major moving averages (20-day, 50-day) aligned with the trade direction? Does the candlestick action near the entry point show conviction? What is the risk-reward ratio — where is the stop, and where is the target? Answering all these questions before every trade transforms chart reading from an art into a systematic process. Discipline beats talent in the long run.
