What is the Stock Market?
The place where buyers and sellers come together to trade stocks.
Think of a farmers market — for companies.
The stock market is not one building. It is a network of exchanges, computers, and traders all connected. Every second, millions of buy and sell orders flow in. The price you see is simply the last price someone agreed to pay.

The US stock market processes over 10 billion shares on a normal trading day.
Regular trading hours are 9:30 AM – 4:00 PM ET, Monday through Friday.
There are stock markets in over 60 countries around the world.
